Check OutSpeechDrive!
I don't know about you, but I'm counting down the days until winter break. I look forward to quality family time and plan on doing little school related work. I haven't been posting much because I feel like most people are doing holiday related activities, or are mentally done. I thought I'd wait untill after the break when everyone is refreshed again.
However, if you're still looking for some quick ideas for this week or next, I thought I'd share this hidden gem of a website. Have you ever checked out speechdrive.net? This blogger (Karen) has SO many fun lessons you could do with your older kids. They are all PDF's and she also includes a lesson plan that tells you what goals you're targetting. A lot of them you might not need to print.
Here is my favorite activity that I've used several times and actually printed/laminated:
Students look at pictures of newspaper articles and have to identify what's wrong with the title or passage. Some of them are hilarious (at least to me). I start with some easy ones and then progress to the ones harder to catch. You can easily just put this on your ipad, and you can do these in one session!! Get the lesson plan here and the clippings here!
Check out some of her activities, or at least save it for after break :)
What activities are you doing the days leading up to break??
